Personalised Wedding Stationery

Quality and materials.  Each card is handmade using a variety of quality materials to create a special look for your wedding. As a result, the cards may vary slightly, but the quality will not.   Materials include: handmade papers, fabrics, metallic papers, paper flowers, pressed flowers and calligraphy.   Owing to small parts, the invitations are not suitable for small children.  Some invitations with raised embellishments may fall into the Large Letter postage category.  You are advised to ask at the Post Office before sending.

Samples.  Samples of invitations can be supplied at £4 each + £1 postage.  A maximum of 2 samples may be ordered and the cost (less postage) will be set against a future order.  Samples are for your own personal use and must not be copied by you or a third party.  Samples may take up to 3 weeks during peak times.

Prices.  Prices can increase without notification. This does not apply to written quotations which are valid for 3 months.

Quantity. There is a minimum order of 25 invitations.  Owing to the availability of stock it may not be possible to order extra matching items later.  Please ensure that you order sufficient quantities.

Extra items.  If you order additional items after your order has been dispatched an administration fee of £10 will be charged in addition to the cost of the items.

Printing or writing of guests' names in invitations.  Guests' names can be printed for 15p per invitation or handwritten in calligraphy at the advertised rate.

Alterations to proofs or agreed designs.  If changes are requested once the proofs have been signed or the design has been confirmed (e.g. for a seating plan) the cost of materials + £10 per half hour will be charged.

Adapting a design.  All cards are individually made by hand.  Most can be adapted at no extra cost. 

Bespoke designs. If you would like stationery designed especially for you, requiring the sourcing of new materials, and the planning of a new and original design, there will be an additional design fee (from £40).  This is refundable against an order of £200 or more, but not if you decide not to proceed with your order.

Information required.  Details on the completed wedding stationery order form will be used to create your personalised stationery.  Names for place cards should be typed on a separate sheet.   Orders of service that include the full text of hymns and readings should be sent by email otherwise a set up fee of £20 will be charged.  If hymn words are to be printed, a fee may be levied by the copyright holder for those still in copyright.  The person conducting your ceremony will be able to advise you.  

Placing an order.  Once your order and deposit (50% of order value) is received, a proof copy of your invitation/order of service (including a printed insert) will be made for you to approve and check the wording.  For save the date cards and orders of less than £100 full payment is required when the proof is returned.  Proofs or samples are not made for guest books or table plans although the detail will be discussed and agreed before these are made.  Full payment is required for seating plans and guest books at the time of placing the order.

Express service.  Your stationery can be dispatched within 5 working days (not including weekends) of your signed proofs being received.  The express service costs an additional £50 and full payment is required at the time of placing your order. This service is dependent on stock availability.

Delivery date.  Your stationery will be despatched within 28 days of receiving your signed proofs.  In most cases this will be sooner.

Final balance.  This must be received at least 7 working days before the despatch date.  It will not be possible to send your stationery until the final balance has been paid.

Payment.  Payment by bank transfer, cheque or postal order is accepted.  Please make cheques and postal orders payable to Alphabet Crafts. 

Postage and packing.  For place cards only - £9 by Special Delivery.  Parcels up to 2kg - £12 by Special Delivery.  Parcels over 2kg - £18 by Parcelforce.  Separate delivery charges apply to guest books, albums and table plans.  For deliveries outside the UK mainland, postage costs will be charged at appropriate rates.  

Cancellation of personalised items.  You may cancel your order at any time until the signed proof is received.  A refund of your deposit less £40 will be made within 30 days of your cancellation in writing.  Once the proof has been signed cancellations are not possible and you are liable for payment for work completed if it exceeds the deposit amount.

Damaged or faulty items.  If any items are found to be damaged or faulty they will be replaced provided written notification is received within 7 days of receipt.

Personal information.  Your personal details will not be passed to any third parties.

 

 

Terms and conditions

Commissioned calligraphy

Commissioned calligraphy.  For commissioned work a 50% deposit is required in advance if you are collecting the work.  If work is to be posted full payment is required with order.  Written quotations are valid for 3 months.

Corporate work.  For batches of certificates or invitations payment is to be made within 21 days of invoice.

Small orders.  A minimum charge of £35 will apply.

Prices.  Prices can increase without notification. This does not apply to written quotations which are valid for 3 months.

Mistakes. You are requested to check carefully the spellings of names for invitations etc. There will be a charge to correct mistakes or re-write work which is the fault of the client.

Copyright.  The copyright on commissioned work will remain the property of Christine Robinson unless the rights are bought by the client. 

Reproduction.  All commissioned work is photographed before despatch.  Photographs may be used by Alphabet Crafts for promotional purposes e.g. on this website, in promotional literature and to show to clients.  However, calligraphy of a very personal nature e.g. a proposal of marriage or text written by the client will not be put into the public domain.

Payment.  Payment by cheque, bank transfer or postal order is accepted.  Please make cheques and postal orders payable to Alphabet Crafts. 

Delivery date.  Your items will be dispatched within 28 days of your payment being cleared.  In most cases items will be sent much sooner.

Postage and packing.  For deliveries within the UK  Royal Mail Special Delivery is used and a signature is required on receipt. But for orders under £60, first class recorded postage is used.   For deliveries outside the UK mainland, postage costs will be charged at appropriate rates.  Postage costs may vary according to the items ordered.

Personal information.  Your personal details will not be passed to any third parties.

 

Card orders

Cancellation of goods received (not personalised or commissioned items) If you are not happy with the goods, you may cancel your order in writing or by email within 7 working days of receipt.  All goods must be returned in their original condition and you will be expected to bear the cost of returning the items.  Any amounts paid (less postage and packing costs), in respect of a cancelled order, will be refunded to you within 30 days of cancellation.
